i Had a 32bit systeem but i upgraded my pc went from no graphic card to a 2GB,
and went from 2GB Ram to 4GB.. but i decided to change my 32bit to an 64bit..
and there is where the problem begun..:cry:
i started the installation and right by 81% he gave me the F'ing error!
so i restarted and tried it again.. but again with the same error!
i tried multiple CD's and made BOOT USB but...

Vista Upgrade 32 Bit Gone Wrong
Today I just got a wonderful reminder of why I hate Vista. Okays so I am working with my dad's companies one desktop that he wanted upgraded from a Windows XP to something more modern. Why do I have to select the Windows Boot Manager in the BIOS to boot?
Since I was having some issues with my system, I just reinstalled W7 from scratched on my SSD. With this new install I decided to go the AHCI, UEFI, GPT route instead of MBR and IDE like on my previous install.

setup error on windows install
There are no partitions and the space is all unallocated yet every time I try to get windows 7 to install I get" setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. Install Windows 7 on D Drive
I have just built a new PC and I am about to install windows 7 64bit. I have looked online for help on this issue without luck.
I have the following set up:
1. 250GB SSD
2. HDD 1TB
3. Motherboard Gigabyte Z97-D3H Z97

How to exclude (forever) certain (but not all) updates from installtn?
Assume I enabled auto-update resp. search manually for updates of my 64bit Win 7 Pro system.
How can I exclude certain updates (e.g. KB3035583 as one example) forever from being installed?
Is there an exclusion list file which is accepted by built-in Windows Update Service?

I recently had to have my Western Digital Hard Drive (which was still under warranty by Western Digital) swapped out and replaced by WD. SSD Migration Fails
I have a spare SSD and wanted to migrate current os (win 7 64bit) to it. So that I could use it as replacement should my current os get corrupted. The os is on a Samsung SSD.
However EaseUS and MiniTool migration wizard both fail and report errors due to fragmented files on the partition. I always understood that SSD drives must not be defraged.
Any suggestions ?
