Replacing w8.1 with w7 home premium 64bits
After 7 months of frustration with w8.1 on a new laptop , i am considering removing 8.1 and replacing it with 7 64bits . I tried last night and achieved nothing . Is it a good or bad idea and how should i go about it ?
The disc went in . I followed the instructions but it seems the puter is not interested in "downgrading" to 7 .

Saving old files while reïnstalling windows 7.
Hi all,
A while back my laptop stopped starting up. It just stopped loading at the starting windows screen.
I figured if I'd reïnstall windows 7 itself it might start up again and I would be able to save my files. (Pictures mostly)

Boot Manager missing after HDD C:/ got formatted

My windows drive got formatted (C:/) and now when i am trying to install a new windows 7. It is showing me "Boot manager missing" after i put my CD to automatically boot. But when i use the Esc key which shows my boot options and select CD Drive, it shows the error Reboot and Select the proper device or Insert Boot media in selected Boot Device and press a key.

Installing Windows 7 on GPT Hard Drive
My computer contains two hard drive, 3TB and 8TB and the motherboard is P67A-UD3-B3. When I tried to install Windows 7 on each of them separately, it was automatically converted to MBR and their sizes were limited to 2TB. Can it be fixed, meaning installing Windows 7 on each of them without loosing size, or should I consider buying a 2TB hard drive in order to avoid loosing size?

If I move to W10 after 29th July but want to dual boot with W7 I assume my Lic Key for W7 will become the Lic Key for W10. Correct ?

Retail and OEM License DVD differences

I'm recovering a notebook HD that return strange input/output errors. It is possible that a destructive low level rebuild of whole disk will be needed (just using something like old "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda".... Yes from a linux based live CD).
