Recently had to format from windows 10 back to 7, until the black screen of death happened so formatted 7 again.
Everything functions normally except that it will not boot unless a bootable usb is selected as first priority.
If you press no buttons when told to after a few seconds it goes straight into windows.
What do i need to do to fix the boot mgr? i tried startup repair and...

Solved Win7 install cant find ssd
Im trying to reinstall windows 7 and then install windows 10.
I thought i could get everything ready by formatting the ssd that i wanted to use for the win7 install.
But neither bios or the windows install and diskpart cant see the ssd so i cant do anything.

Windows Error Recovery after trying to revert to Windows 7 from 10

My Dell Desktop PC was unable to boot into Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit after I selected the option of reverting back to Windows 7 from Windows 10. (Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Go back to Windows 7).

Windows 7 not reading blank cd/dvd, but other programs will....
I have tried all the fixes and suggestions on Microsoft's website, including deleting the low and high filters in the registry, and replacing the DVD drive. Clean Reinstall of Windows 7 Update Question?.
I am updating my HDD to a SSD in the next day or so, I decided to do a clean reinstall rather than clone my OS from the old drive. Doing it this way from my CD ROM of Windows 7 Home Premium I will have an awful lot of updates to get it to the present. My question is, in order to speed up this process do I need to install every update or just the ones deemed as "Important"?.

Time of day clock changes between Windows and ubuntu
I have a dual boot system between ubuntu and Windows 7 -- now 10.
When I run ubuntu and then switch to Windows my time of day clock is off by 4 hours. It appears that the hardware clock gets switched to UTC when I leave ubuntu. Is it possible to tell window that the hardware clock is actually set to UTC?

Total reinstall
I recently ran SFC on my nieces's computer, when finished it showed a couple of "integrity violations" - I can't recall the exact wording right now.
My question; Is there a way to do an 'in-place total reinstall' without having to download/install all the Windows Updates again?:confused:

Windows 7 in-place upgrade install fails
I discovered that my previously working scheduled back-up was no longer working and could not be reset. The task scheduler was reporting errors.
I tried restoring to an earlier version but no luck. I run system file checker to discover several file problems that were not fixed by the system. So I decided to run the in-place windows install upgrade option from the original OEM Windows 7 SP1 DVD....

Solved Can I add system partition to startup partition

I had to reinstall my win7 system due to disk crash. During re-installing the systempartition ended up on my 2nd (data) drive. I now wish to do something else with that 2nd drive, but unable to as I can then no longer boot win7.
