Solved Uninstall Win7 Student/Faculty Version...for Later or Reserve Okay?

What happens to old disc licence after new install?
This might sound like a silly question but - if I put a new hard drive in my laptop and do a clean install with a retail Windows 7 disc I have, and then activate it (hopefully) with the OEM product code of the laptop, will the old disc with all the software and files on, become inactive if I then needed to put it back (ie if for some reason my laptop didn't run well with the new drive)?

Today I tried to burn a Win7 ISO file on my External Hard Drive, I used poweriso and it failed to burn with NTFS file system, whenever it is FAT32 it succeed, I used Rufus it also failed :cry:.
Is is possible to burn it on my external hard drive with NTFS file system ?

Overheating after new hard drive and clean install

Can't perform windows update on new Win 7 install
I just installed windows 7 on an old Dell Inspiron
I noticed that I was not getting the normal updates so I went to the action centre
the action centre showed a dialog box with a red X saying:

Admin password assignment hung up?
I just got a computer from ebay and it came with Win7. I boot it and it doesn't have any password. Once in I go to Manage Accounts, Change an Account, Create Password for the Admin and put in a password in the "Confirm new password" field (odd that). Forgot login password. No start button/menu 2 reset 2 factory settings
My desktop Dell is Windows 7 Professional. I am complete computer beginner. added 3rd partition boots to 2nd.
partitions:
1. XP (active, boot)
2. Win7
boot menu worked fine.
cloned partition 2 to partition 3. used Easy BCD Edit to add it. Called it Win7Prod
If I choose Win7Prod from the boot menu, it boots to partition 2. How do I fix this?
