I have a valid Vista Home Basic product key. Can I upgrade or install Windows 7 with this key? I tried a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium and activation failed.

Desktop folder deletes after restart w7 premium 64bit
Hi All,
I recently installed windows 7 premium 64bit on my custom computer.
Here are my specs:
GPU - GeForce GTX 970
CPU - i7 5930 @ 3.50ghz
Memory - 16gb DDR
Every time I restart my computer, c:\users\(myusername)\Desktop folder deletes.

Upgrade Key not Accepted
After installing my 7 pro os when I enter the key I get msg that key is valid for upgrade only and not accepted. Maybe I'm using wrong key but none on the disc or the package that came from MS or it's package. Is there anywhere in the files on the disc that the key would be listed or someway to find/get it, thanks.

Solved dual boot issue
Hi
I have an existing win 7 install and have attempted to install win 10 on a separate physical disk.
I was hoping to dual boot both os's but I do not receive the option.
Instead the system takes me to win 10 by default.
I'm assuming the boot loader has been changed.
Any ideas how I can get back into win 7 once more?

I am trying to upgrade to seven from Vista. However I mistakingly typed windows seven home instead of windows seven pro. After windows seven downloaded I was asked for the key which I entered correctly. The key was not accepted and now I cannot go back. Any suggestions please???

Issues with setup.exe, wim files, sysprep and wioski
I am trying to install a customized Windows 7 Ultimate wim image (myCust7.wim) and setup.exe doesn't like it. I get 0x80070026 and 0x8007000d errors when the sysprepped image is being installed by setup.exe. The wim image is almost 10GB in size.

I made a terrible mistake. Rather than go into details sufice to say I used my original disk and reloaded windows. I want to go back to my original windows. I have a folder called "windows.old" that contains all my old files. How do I replace my installed windows with the old folder?

Asus X55A Laptop Set Back To Factory Settings

I have a Asus X55A laptop running Windows 7. I am upgrading to a new laptop and want to give this one away. But, I want to make sure my data is gone. At boot, I clicked I believe F9 and it installed Windows back to factory. Is this sufficient? I do not have the original discs, just the Windows from factory on partition D.
