Overriding selected update preference and installing all 210 updates

The last two times I have set laptop back to factory settings I have selected the option to check for updates and let me install them. The os appears to override this option I made and installed up to 210 updates...which also totally bogs the laptop down hence stopping the updates in the first place.

Hi all,
I work in a school where we have 300 identical machines. I have kidnapped a machine, reinstalled it (win7), updated it (Windows updates, flash, java etc.). It is now the perfect foundation machine.
What I want to do is;
Insert a USB drive
Copy the whole setup onto a USB drive that also becomes bootable during the process.
Use this drive (or its siblings) as a Master reformat tool.

I have an HP Probook 440 G1. When trying to re-install Windows 7 Pro, after entering the product key found by Belarc Advisor, I got a message saying "windows cannot find the microsoft software license terms". Clean install partition not found
I'm doing a clean install of Win7. I have one hard drive with two partitions (lettered C & D) and want to install Win7 on the C partition. When I load Win 7 setup (custom-advance option) and get to the 'Where do you want to install Windows?' screen I only see my D partition listed.
UEFI is disabled in BIOS & my disk is MBR (not GPT). There is a old Win7 install on the C partition...

System reacts to Power Button only after holding it for 2-3 seconds
I have setup to put computer into sleep after pressing the power button, however system does not react to pressing the button unless I hold it for about 2-3 seconds. Also, it seems to reacts with delay so I always feel like I will hold it 5s and force it to turn off completely. How can I change it so it goes to sleep right after pressing button without need to hold it?

I have several OS discs (Windows 7 and others) that I'd like to make an ISO of just so I have a backup of it. The discs I have go back to Windows 95. Will I be able to use the same program for Windows 95 through Windows 10?

Solved (re-)Installation of IE11 fails with 80073715 errors

Machine is Win7 x64 fully updated.
It's been running slow for months, particularly IE, so I thought I'd 'repair' IE by unstalling IE11, and reinstalling it.
Uninstall went fine.

Error
I followed *all steps* (https://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/321097-how-install-windows-7-uefi-mode-usb.html) without any difference. I even tried with rufus but I get same error whenever I boot from the usb. I have attached photo.

Good day. I uninstalled (CSC) "COMODO System Cleaner 3.0.172695.53" - I started using it in 2011, and I got so used to it I don't feel comfortable using any other cleaners, besides CCleaner.
