And I did make a windows full backup to a external eSATA hard drive and I saved all my folders and files too also to external partition...

Hi, I'm trying to reinstall Windows 7. I've reformatted my SSD but when i start my PC it starts loading the filies from my CD/DVD and then I get the 0xc0000225 error message that says to click "repair your computer". When I click enter to continue it asks me to choose an operating system to start or asks to tab to select a tool. I click the only option listed which is "Windows Setup [EMS...

I have a 3TB hard drive on which I created three logical partitions and no primary partition at all. This was done in Windows XP. I am able to see the partitions in Windows XP and access them perfectly. But when I mount the drive on a Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit system that I recently created, Windows 7 is unable to see the partitions - they are seen as unallocated space in Disk Management. Also,...

Hi, folks! I'm on the brink of losing my mind, and I desperately need some very knowledgeable help to avoid losing it. For several years, my most powerful home-built desktop computer used a two-drive SSD RAID 0 array as my system/boot device. This worked perfectly until last April, when that computer turned itself off and refused to turn back on again. I followed the most likely cause through...

Wife's Win7 computer has a strange issue with windows update. This computer never had the windows 10 upgrade as she did not want it. Have not paid any attention to windows update for the last two years or so. Decided the other day to clean up the hard drive so I checked to see if updates were current. When I opened windows update, an error was displayed, C1900101-20003 stating "Windows 10...

Update: Success-ish (Unfortunately I now get blue screen crash dum during install!) This video worked for the hard drive issue at least: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4ilMAAk1Q8 Original post: Having problems installing Windows 7 It tells me to format to GPT - I've done that. I've also messed around with all the bios settings I can find - Nothing helped

Hi! *Intro*: I was playing a game on my primary monitor (in fullscreen) while watching a stream through Chrome on my second monitor. I've done this a million times before without problems. (I had more stuff running at the time, like Discord. Can't recall exactly what I had going on.) Out of nowhere, both monitors freeze, but the sound keeps going. Then, the secondary monitor went...

I used to have Win 7 Home Premium till it got a bit corrupted a few weeks ago so upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate. All worked fine then the Windows 30 day trial appeared so changed to that. I'd also read about the not genuine version and even though I had the black screen I was still able to use it as before so no problem. Out of curiosity I thought I'd find out what they were charging anyway but...

I reinstalled window 7 on a computer that was having issues. I deleted the existing Windows partition/drive and ran the install to that Drive (c). After getting everything reinstalled I was going to image the C Drive. It appears to be linked to another large drive (3tb). That drive didnt show up post win7 install. I went into Drive Management and added a letter thinking it was because it was...

I got in a refurbished HP computer and immediately upgraded it from Win 10 to Win 7 on a new hard drive. The OS is properly installed, keyed and validated from an original 7 Pro 64 bit OEM disk. Nevertheless I get a popup telling me that "this computer is not running genuine Windows." But, of course it is. I've read through and tried everything I find on the internet to resolve this. Nothing...

Hey all, I had Win 10 for years and I got an error and had to a re-install as the repair tool didn't work. During the Win7 installation, I chose the same partition as before and I still have the other files(the old C:/) but not the old users folder. I want to mention that there's a Windows.old folder there but it's completely empty. I tried to restore the files using EaseUS Data...

I have been using Win 10 for some time and have found, like a lot of people, it really is not at all stable. Every time there is an update from Windows 10 a new problem appears. I have tried a lot of things but I am simply fed up with the constant problem solving that Microsoft should have done before releasing the software, hear endeth the rant:mad: So, I have a Windows 7 Pro CD (both 32 and...

A bit of history first... Before including Win7 as an OS, I had two WinXP OS installations on separate partitions on my standalone [single] HD. One OS was my day-to-day 'system'. The other was an audio/visual setup. Data files were on another 'single' HD and a Raid10. I did not use a boot manager to switch between the two XP operating systems opting instead for quick/dirty edit of Partition Table...

My first up-to-date Windows 7 install disc was a big failure. I meticulously followed these instructions to the letter: Create An Integrated Up To Date Windows 7 Install Disc • Raymond.CC (https://www.raymond.cc/blog/create-an-integrated-up-to-date-windows-7-install-disc/) Once I figured out that the instructions were obviously written and screen-shot at different times and using...

Recovery backup discs are corrupt, Lenovo only allowed one backup. Lenovo currently has OEM Win-7 PRO 64-bit installed. I have located a genuine RETAIL Win-7 PRO 64-bit package from a reputable supplier. It is not a pirate nor illegal copy. Can I install the Retail version (Win-7 PRO 64-bit) onto the Lenovo Laptop and activate it with MS ? Thank you :-)

Hello, I need a little advice. I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium (which I have done successfully many times). For some reason my C drive is showing that I only have 581 MB of free space. It has a 148 GB disk. I have very few programs installed on it as it is old and I only use it for a few things. Did I make a wrong move when I reinstalled?? Did I pick the wrong partition or something? ...
