Motherboard Died - How Can I Successfully Boot My Windows 7 Install
My computers motherboard has died - won't boot, power supply checks out OK, no response even with all hardware disconnected. Its seven years old, so I've ordered new a new mobo, cpu, ram to replace my build.
My question - is there a way to get my current Windows 7 install to boot on my new hardware so I can then do my Windows 10 free upgrade ( I hadn't upgraded to 10 as of yet)?

My product key on the back of the laptop is built from 5 parts each part built from 5 letters and/or numbers.

Cannot re-install Windows 7 formatting C drive
So, I want to re-install Windows 7. And, to make sure I have a clean install, I want to format my C drive. Very easy, just change my BIOS to boot from DVD, insert my LEGAL COPY of Windows 7, and there we go.
The computer picks up the DVD bootable drive, states to enter a key in the time-out window, and I enter the Windows installation program.

I am having hp 1023tu laptop.
Windows homebasic x 64 was installed on it with name x16- 96081.
I formatted the laptop and lost genuine os.
Now i want to install homebasic x64 , i tried formatting by bootable usb with ei.cfg deleted then selecting windows homebasic x64. all installation process is completed then windows restart and it shows the blue screen error and windows again restart.

Windows enterprise creating a new user
I have an old laptop from work which I want to use at home..no more work use or logging into work domain.
Is there a way to create a new user and not have the computer boot asking for the logon info for the work domain. Is there a way to reset the group policies?
Do I have to wipe and do a new windows install.

The instructions seem to apply to people who downloaded Windows from a web site. I did not. Windows was already installed on PC I purchase

Various issues with installing Windows 7 installation.
I wanted to do a reinstall of Windows 7 and so far it's done nothing for me except cause stress and frustration. First it tells me it cannot install to disc because it's GPT, whatever that means... So I'm told to do Shift+F10 and enter these commands:
diskpart
select disk 0
clean
convert GPT

Can I re-install a Windows SSD image onto an HDD?
My Windows 7 ultimate SP1 64bit OS is located on my SSD which fails to update to Windows 10, I would like to try the update on an HDD to see if that works.
