Hello,
I dropped my computer and it seems I trashed the HDD - when I try to start Windows I hear a clicking sound on startup and it freezes.
Unfortunately, I need to recover data from the HDD. I used WinToUSB to burn a Windows 7 ISO on the USB and run the OS from there and I hoped I could access at least some of the files I need on the HDD.

Solved Used sysprep to move HDD to a NUC, but no USB 3.0 drivers

Identifying spare CDrives
I made a clean spare Win7 C-Drive for each PC awhile back (OEMs). Unfortunately I haven't identified which new c drive belongs to PC1 or PC2.
If I open the spare drives up on a data drive can I look somewhere inside the drive to see what machine it was created on?
Or if I reboot as the new c-drive will it tell me that I have wrong c drive installed. But if I get it wrong will it squeal...

Can't save app key, not "Administrator"

Tr'ferring Win7 & Contents from 1st SSD to 2nd SSD

Error while trying to install win "invalid partition table"
So my old HDD stoped working and I bought new one . I connected it and try to boot (install) system from USB ( i made USB bootable )(win 7 in this case i tried 8.1 too) and set 1st boot device to USB , it automaticly restarted and after i see logo of motherboard i get message "invalid partition table ".

remove program lines from start up
Hi,
I am having problem with removing programs from start up.
They have been disabled and that is fine, but they still appear in start up menu although I remove all registry entries for the program I removed. I can not think of any other possible reason that keeps the programs still.

Ubuntu won't install on internal HD, forces to external USB drive

Can't Install Windows 7 - Windows is Starting Problem
Hi, my device is ASUS E402N.
I tried almost everything but can't install Windows 7 stuck on the Windows is Starting with logo.
I disabled secure boot.
There is no other option in BIOS such as Legacy mode.
There is no option to change the SSD mode.
I can't find anything related with the boot. There is only fast boot option - disabled -.
I can't install Windows 7.

Installed Windows on new disk - still booting from old disk

I have 2 disks one is the original HDD (disk 0) and one is the SSD (disk 1).
I installed Win7 on the SSD but can't get my system to boot from the new install.
On my HDD, the Win7 install is on a 29GB partition which has no space. I want to run off the 75GB SSD.
I can't seem to set the boot flag on disk 1 partition 1 - or disable it on disk 0 partition 2.
