Motherboard failure. Can I reinstall Win 7 to new PC?
My parents computer has died and after carrying out some tests I believe the MB has died. The board, cpu and memory are now a bit dated and having looked at replacing the MB I am unable to find one of the same spec.

I have 3 PCs running Windows 7 Pro x64. Two of them came with that level of Windows, and I have the installation dvd. The 3rd PC is an old one that came with Home Premium. Hi,
I'd like to re-install from scratch the OEM Windows that came with the Toshiba S40B that I bought last week.
I'm guessing there will be a question of Activation Key at some point and I'd like to figure out what that is before I get there.

Clean installation of Windows 7 did not delete my files/programs
Installation was successful, but I wanted the new install to delete everything in my hard drive and free up space. However I still see remnants of files and folders, and Windows Explorer shows my hard drive to be over half full.
Does this mean I should manually wipe the hard drive and then reinstall Windows again? If so, how would I go about doing it? Note that I can't access the internet...
